Suzie

Senior Stylist and Colourist

Salon Co-Director

Hairdressing for almost twenty years, Suzie McDonald has achieved Master Stylist status.  Not one to sit on her heels, she prides herself on keeping up-to-date with the latest techniques.

Suzie has studied at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London each year from 2015 to 2019 and trained at the Schorem Barber Academy in Rotterdam in 2019.  Suzie also ensures that her team has access to quality hair education, providing opportunities to attend further training both in Australia and overseas.

Suzie’s commitment to excellence goes right back to her days as an apprentice at award-winning salon, Wild Life in Kirribilli.  During her four-year apprenticeship, Suzie was a finalist each year in the Hair Expo Australia Apprentice of the Year awards. Suzie was also a FAME Team finalist, a prestigious nationwide competition for up-and-coming stylists run by the Fellowship Academy of Merit and Excellence.

Not only has Suzie shone amongst the bright lights of New York Fashion Week and Australian Fashion Week, but she also has developed a loyal following of clients over many years.  In fact, this is what drives Suzie more than anything to continually excel – her long-term clients who keep coming back and become part of the gorgeous Sudu family.

A firm believer in a healthy work-life balance, when not in the salon you’re likely to find Suzie having a laugh-filled hit of social tennis, engrossed in the latest Liane Moriarty novel, indulging in a macadamia cappuccino, or hanging out with her divine toddler who is on track to be a dual champion in ball-throwing and raspberry-blowing.

Brighter than the Gorman prints she regularly rocks, Suzie is a hairdresser with a big heart who is not afraid to indulge in a little song and dance in the salon when the occasion requires.

Pablo

Senior Stylist & Colourist

Salon Co-Director

Pablo is a motorcycle-riding Senior Stylist with over ten years’ industry experience and Master Stylist qualifications. Talented in all aspects of hairdressing, Pablo has a particular interest in cutting and styling.

Committed to quality and consistency, Pablo believes that trust and a strong relationship with clients is as important as a hairdresser’s technical skill.  Known for his calm and collected nature and being a creative thinker, you know you’re in capable hands with Pablo.

Growing up on a tranquil island on the Hawkesbury River, Pablo spent a childhood surrounded by lush palm trees and jacarandas, and caught the ferry to school each day.

While he now enjoys the convenience of city living, when Pablo is not working his magic in the salon you just may find him back on the island in his workshop making gorgeous wooden toys from Tasmanian Oak.  You can check out his craftmanship in the salon or at his Etsy shop, Alfresco Customs

Su Su

Nail Boss | Brow Queen | Junior Stylist

When Su Su was younger she dreamed of being either an astronaut or a hairdresser. All we can say is thank goodness for us she pursued a career in hair and beauty. (Though the idea of Su Su going on adventures in space sounds pretty magical, too!) Like a shiny star, Su Su dazzles us with her skills in the salon and runs Sudu on Saturdays.

Moving to Australia from Thailand a few years ago, Myanmar-born Su Su has embraced life in Australia.  She loves the fabulous weather and friendly people and the variety of foods available. If she could only eat one food for the rest of her life, she reckons it would have to be papaya salad.

Described as warm, funny, and caring by her friends, Su Su says when her clients look good and feel good, she feels happy. If she could have a superpower, she says she’d love the power of superspeed so she could help even more clients.

When not working her brilliance in the salon, Su Su likes cooking, exercising, and spending time with her husband and with her friends, and busting out her signature dance move - the Zombie! And in case you’re wondering, if Su Su could create any new invention, she’d make a dog translator so she could talk to her furry friends.

Psst… looking for a Saturday appt? Su Su is your gal!
